Jarobi Moorhead is an Emmy Award-winning film producer and artist from Uptown NYC, working across documentary, scripted narrative, and installation art spaces to illuminate forgotten histories, challenge prevailing narratives, and reimagine our collective future.
A passionate storyteller, Jarobi’s recent work includes 13 Days in Ferguson and the Oscar-shortlisted films Going to Mars: The Nikki Giovanni Project and Black Girls Play: The Story of Handgames. He is also acclaimed for the Emmy, NAACP Image Award, and GLAAD-nominated documentary Little Richard: I Am Everything. His creative practice centers on uncovering hidden truths and fostering understanding through art, with a commitment to using visual media as a powerful tool for historical reclamation and envisioning new futures.
